With Dialog, you can import emails and calendar items from Outlook or Gmail into Dialog. Here's how you can do it, for example, on the Contact Moments page.
Tip: You can also import an email as a notification. Simply drag and drop the email into the field that says "Drag email -> notification."
Outlook
- Drag the item from Outlook into the field that says "Drag your email/calendar items here."
- The Contact Moments screen will appear, and the information from the item will be automatically filled in for you: date, contact moment type, contact person, stakeholder, email/calendar item content.
- If Dialog doesn't recognize an email address, under "Select stakeholders," you will find a link that says "x email address(es) unknown and x ignored." Click on it to create new contact persons for unknown email addresses. Dialog will automatically recognize these contact persons the next time you drag an email or calendar item.
Gmail
You can also import emails from Gmail, but it requires an additional step. Follow the steps below:
- On your computer, go to Gmail.
- Open the email.
- Click on More.
- Click on Download message.
- Then, drag the downloaded message into the field that says "Drag your email/calendar items here."
