In Dialog, it is possible to use your SharePoint site as a document storage (DMS) and integrate it with the platform. This allows SharePoint documents to be visible within Dialog, and you can create links from Dialog items to documents in SharePoint. Additionally, you can upload new documents from Dialog to SharePoint. |

Register a new client SharePoint

Go to the following URL in your SharePoint site:
- For SharePoint Online: https://your-site.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/AppRegNew.aspx
- For SharePoint on-premises: https://your-site/sites/your-site-collection/_layouts/15/AppRegNew.aspx

Click on "Generate" next to "Client ID" and "Client Secret". These details will be needed later for the Dialog configuration, so make sure to copy them.

Provide a title for the app, such as "Dialog".

Use the following values for the app domain:
- App Domain: www.getdialog.nl

In the "Redirect URL" field, enter the exact URL: https://app.getdialog.nl/connect/sharepoint/

Click "Create" to register the app.
Settings in Dialog
SharePoint is now ready to be connected to Dialog. Follow these steps to set up the integration from the project environment. It is also possible to set up the integration from Project Management (Enterprise license).

Go to Dialog and click on "Settings" using the settings icon in the top right corner of the page.

Click on the slider or edit button for SharePoint in the "Integrations" section.
Note: For the integration, you will need the following information:
- SharePoint URL (e.g., https://your-site.sharepoint.com or https://your-site.sharepoint.com/sites/your-site-collection)
- Client ID
- Client Secret

Enter the above information and click "Authorize Dialog".

You will be redirected to the SharePoint environment. Click on "Trust".

You will be redirected back to Dialog, and the option "Proceed to Step 2" will appear.

Click on "Proceed to Step 2" and select the SharePoint folder where the documents should be stored.

Select "Next", and Dialog is successfully connected to SharePoint.

To set up the integration from Project Management, follow these steps:

After logging in, select "Project Management" from the project selection screen.

Click on the pencil icon of the respective project in the project overview.

Click on the "Integrations" tab and then click on "Connect project".
